Marketing and Communications Director
Jenny Carrick
As marketing and communications director, Jenny Carrick provides marketing and communications leadership for UC Davis Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Education. She oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive, multichannel marketing and communications program that supports the needs and priorities of both organizations. She leads and partners with a team of communications professionals to deliver a full range of marketing and communications services. Prior to joining Enrollment Management in 2023, Jenny was a founding member of the staff team at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, which launched in 2010.
Associate Director for Marketing and Communications
Becky Delaware
Becky joins the UC Davis community after eight years in the UC system. She brings a passion for education and a focus on supporting students to her role on the Enrollment Management team. As associate director for marketing and communications, she collaborates with UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions to create and implement strategic, inclusive communications that engage with a variety of audiences. Her background in graphic design gives her a unique perspective when crafting creative solutions. Outside of the office, Becky enjoys testing new baking recipes and playing board games.
Associate Director of Marketing
Ginger Welsh
In February 2024, Ginger Welsh joined the Enrollment Management marketing and communications team as the associate director for marketing, specifically focusing on Undergraduate Education programs and initiatives. She is a UC Davis alum who has held various positions on campus in communications, marketing, events, fundraising and program management since returning in 2003.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and rhetoric/communications from UC Davis and a Master of Education in student personnel services at the University of South Carolina. Then, she pursued roles at the Claremont Colleges and UC Santa Cruz before returning to UC Davis. All in part to realize her dream of never leaving college. Apart from her life at university, Ginger is passionate about cooking, gardening, hiking, international travel, and stencil painting. She has traveled to 34 countries (20 on behalf of UC Davis) and completed seven mural projects.
Senior Brand Manager
Steven Morse
Meet Steven, a Sacramento native and three-time award-winning artist, accomplished graphic designer and six-time published fashion designer. As UC Davis's Senior Brand Manager, he dedicates himself to pushing creative boundaries and elevating the campus's visual identity. Beyond design, Steven raises French Bulldogs, and continually tries to defy his age in the gym.

Derrick Phipps
Meet Derrick Phipps, a creative web manager who is driven by a deep sense of empathy for end-users. With a commitment to effective communication, Derrick thrives in solving production challenges. His technical prowess spans HTML, CSS and Drupal. Always hungry for growth, Derrick is currently delving into honing his AI skills. In the dynamic world of web management, Derrick is not just a practitioner; he's a continual learner, embracing challenges and evolving skill sets to deliver seamless and user-centric digital experiences.
Communications Specialist
Isabella Beristain
Isabella Beristain comes back to UC Davis, after graduating in 2022, as Enrollment Management’s communications specialist. She works closely with the UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions team and partners to grow our community. As one of the team’s writers, she leverages her knowledge of UC Davis best brand practices to communicate our story effectively and creatively to various external audiences. Isabella has worked in marketing and communications for more than 5 years and has writing experience in development, internal communications and journalism. Before joining the Enrollment Management team earlier this year, Isabella worked at Centro Legal de la Raza as their communications specialist, where she helped expand, retain and update their donor network.
