UC Davis implements new degree audit system

Launching uAchieve

Degree audit systems track students’ academic progress toward degree completion by comparing a program’s academic requirements against students’ completed and registered courses. Currently, UC Davis offers two degree audit systems — MyDegree and the degree certification audit in OASIS. The transition to a new degree audit system, uAchieve, replaces both systems and enhances student and advisor experiences.

When fully implemented, students can generate degree audits on demand and conduct "what if" scenarios to explore other academic options.

This implementation also aligns the undergraduate degree certification process with uAchieve as the tool determining degree completion. uAchieve does not replace OASIS, only its degree audit and certification functions. Implementation began in late 2023 with completion targeted for 2026.

Background and sponsors

The uAchieve degree audit system was selected after a comprehensive search and review with the university community. In 2021, the Office of the University Registrar launched a discussion with the undergraduate colleges and Information and Educational Technology about the need for a new degree audit system to meet the growing needs of our large and complex university.

The Office of the University Registrar, Information and Educational Technology, undergraduate colleges and Graduate Studies reviewed multiple degree audit solutions and selected uAchieve, by CollegeSource.
