Last year, Bhanap was awarded $15,000 from the Donald A. Strauss Scholarship Foundation to implement her project Dance Bhoomi. Bhanap’s Strauss year did not go as planned. Instead, it grew into something more complex, collaborative and deeply personal than she ever imagined.
Each spring, UC Davis hosts two Aggie Days — one for first-years in April and another for transfer students in May. Thousands of admitted students and their guests explore campus, connect directly with the UC Davis community and imagine their future as Aggies. Behind every moment is a carefully choreographed campus-wide effort that says, “Welcome, home.”
