Quarterly updates

Fall 2024
The Office of the University Registrar completed its engagement with the college academic advisors. The team continued work with the uAchieve vendor, CollegeSource, to implement formatting and requirement changes to university and college requirements. Work continues on encoding the first group of 12 majors. After conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with advisors, more than 50 future state changes for the degree certification process and curricula updates were identified. The first set of requirements related to the Online Graduation Application was passed to the application development team and is currently in development.
Spring 2024
The Office of the University Registrar continued to meet with college academic advisors to review the audit encoding of university, college, and General Education requirements throughout the spring. Many issues were resolved with a few still being reviewed by CollegeSource, the parent company of uAchieve. The Enrollment Management Strategic Technologies Initiatives staff led six joint application design sessions with about 24 academic advisors, the Office of the University Registrar, and Enterprise Student Applications to collect requirements for degree certification, academic exception processing, and other matters connected with the project.
Winter 2024
Engagements with academic advisors began during the winter 2024 term. College-designated deans' offices advisors began work with the Office of the University Registrar on the overall structure of the audit and confirming the encoding of the General Education requirements. Concurrently, Enrollment Management’s Strategic Technology Initiative team launched engagements with college-designated advisors to document degree certification processes, handling degree exceptions (waivers and substitutions), and updating students’ curriculum (majors, minors, academic options).

uAchieve project resources

UC Davis is transitioning to a new degree audit system, uAchieve, for advisors and students. This implementation also realigns the degree certification process for undergraduate students. uAchieve does not replace OASIS, only its degree audit and certification functions. Implementation began in late 2023 with completion targeted for winter 2026.
